Ruslaan is accident-prone
By Subhash K. Jha Oct 3, 2007, 12:17 GMT
Newcomer Ruslaan Mumtaz, who's just about two films old, has already had two nasty falls on the sets.
During the shoot of his first film 'Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar', Ruslaan fell straight on his face when his assembled bicycle collapsed under him.
'We had to postpone shooting for a month. My entire face was bruised. I was home-bound for a month,' recalls Ruslaan, who is the son of former actress Anjana Mumtaz.
Now while shooting for his second film, Satish Kaushik's 'Tere Sang', Ruslaan suffered an even nastier fall when he fell off a racing bike.
'It was pretty bad and I thought I'll be permanently damaged. Fortunately I'm ok now. But my parents are worried. They're wondering if I'll suffer an accident during every film. I keep telling them not to get superstitious. But you know how parents are ... specially moms.'
So is he doing a rethink about his acting career?
'No way! It's quite obvious that my two accidents during my two films were just coincidences. Even if I've another accident during my third film I'm here to stay. Maybe I should get myself insured on the sets.'
