She shouldn't be charged with any thing because she couldn't help what he did. He was the one at fault - he didn't just give her a little kiss, he came on stage looking like he just came off the back 40 and threw her almost over backward in a stupid-looking embrace. I felt sorry for her!!

'Blaming the victim'.. why does that always happen? Richard Gere did not commit a capital crime. It's between him and Shilpa Shetty. If she thought his behaviour was wrong, she can call him and say so, or she can get her friends to call him and say so. Or, if she feels there was something illegal done to her, she can initiate the legal proceedings on her own.

It is not the responsibility of every self-appointed 'cousin' or 'brother' to be protecting her virtue! You'd think you have no sisters of your own, the way some of you fawn over and act as slaves and guardians to every female in your lives. I suppose most women indulge men in the role of 'guardian' but really women are quite capable creatures.
