Very sad you feel that way about Heigl who is not only a very talented and beautiful actress but a genuinely nice person with it. She is honest and outspoken and if you are a woman in the entertainment industry who does that, it makes you a bitch it seems.
You have also badly misrepresented her as some kind of ungrateful person when it could not be further from the truth by simply picking segments from interviews to back up your supposed argument. The facts simply are not how you presented them at all.
For example when she made her comment about the Emmys, which were correct incidentally (the writing sucked and all the critics agreed on that much - medicine on a deer anyone?) she had plenty of movies lined up and still has. 4 or 5 projects currently await her and she just completed a new flick. Further more you might note she is back on Grey's again this season. She can't leave even if she wanted to without ABC agreement because she signed a 7 year contract like all Grey's staff. Are they going to let their biggest name go? I don't think so.
I am sick and tired of the hate that she receives from people like yourself. It is unwarranted, spiteful and quite frankly ridiculous. If you actually spent some time finding out a bit about her you would see smart, funny and talented actress who is refreshingly honest and actually has something to say - unlike many of the mindless bimbos that grace our screens. Instead you choose to take note of tabloid sensationalism and headlines.
I agree with the above commenter.
I also have to disagree a little bit with your comments on Knocked Up's success. While I don't think Heigl drew in the audience the way the Apatow name did, I certainly don't think Rogen had anything to do with Knocked Up's initial success. That movie had NO bankable stars to its credit when it came out--people bought tickets to see the next Apatow film. Furthermore, that film proved to have legs in the cinema all summer because of both Heigl and Rogen's affability as a pair. The two exploded onto the screen and provided a fresh charisma to their roles that audiences really responded to. Attributing Knocked Up's success simply to the frat boy humor of Ben Stone and his stoner friends alienates the other half of Knocked Up, which, at its core, was a romantic comedy, something Heigl has shown a real penchant for. In fact, I know plenty of people (albeit mostly women) who associate Knocked Up more so with Heigl than Rogen.
With that said, I enjoy Heigl as an entertainer, but am growing more doubtful that she will ever be able to branch out from this current rom-com queen title she's beginning to acquire.
on the wrong actress.
Megan Fox is a SMUG low rent Jolie, that says idiotic things and isn't nearly as hot as Daisie Lowe or ScarJo, and always looks like she needs a brush up or bath, or just wash her hair for chrissakes.
Fox needs to go-Heigl was really funny with Rogen in Knocked up, and she isnt as horrible as you make her out to be.
