The truth is out there. Actually it's right above our heads. Be sure and watch the 'Raw Footage' video from this web site.

First off: I share your appreciation of the series, even the UFO episodes. I loved watching the X-Files while it ran. I'm excited about the new movie.

That said, please remember that it's just fiction.

What you dismiss as 'pat answers' are in many cases either the plain facts from the beginning, or the culmination of a lot of hard work on the part of well-intentioned and open-minded investigators. To dismiss them so cavalierly just because they don't excite you is not only dishonest, it's a grave disservice to folks like Joe Nickell, paranormal investigator, who has devoted his life to researching - explicitly NOT debunking - the entire gamut of weird things, from alien abduction to bleeding statues.

Don't give up your sense of wonder. Reality is far, far cooler than any nonsense on television, although that doesn't mean you shouldn't also be able to suspend your disbelief and enjoy The X-Files like a little kid again.

But do check out www.joenickell.com and his most recent book 'Adventures in Paranormal Investigation,' and visit CSICOP as well at www.csicop.org. There a lot of fascinating information there that doesn't require hand-waving and the supernatural.

The truth is out there, yes, but it's television truth. The real world truth is out here.

'I want to believe'...that I'll be taking my dad to watch 'The Dark Knight' this weekend, again.

After the last 2 seasons of X-Files my love for the show died, it's sad I know..

I rather wait for the movie premier of this movie on FOX in about 6 months..

After the last movie, how can anybody be enthusiastic about this? When I was much younger (I'm 23 now) and the series was new, the flukeman episode scared me so much that I was wary of being alone in the bathroom for months!...but the movie sucked.
