The Unseen Movie Review: The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift

A job, a wife, a baby and no free time. I haven’t seen the films but based on what I’ve heard and know, we’ll see if the movie is worth it. It’s the UNSEEN MOVIE REVIEW.

There are a few things in life I don’t understand. How come the #1 doesn’t have any letters on it on my phone, why convertibles cost more but you get less car and where do babies come from? But this week’s The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift creates a whole new question. Here was a very successful franchise that has made over $400 million worldwide. So why would Hollywood go out of their way to tank the third movie? Get rid of Paul Walker, get rid of Tyrese, and let’s bring in Lucas Black and Bow Wow. (At this point you should be making that Scooby Doo noise he always does when he’s surprised). Usually the big studios are by the book people and you can see their decisions coming a mile away since they’re all based on bottom line dollars. Every now and then though they manage to surprise me, like when they gave Jessica Simpson an acting career. Since the first two made money wouldn’t it make sense to bring back Paul or at least Tyrese and try to keep the franchise moving forward? But Universal decided to go the really cheap route, hire no name actors (or Lil’ actors) and bury the franchise by trying to squeeze whatever money they can out of a cheap knock off.The first film made Vin Diesel a star. So Vin did what every big star does when fame comes rushing in, he copped an attitude and demanded more money. The producers got smart and told Vin to take his monosyllabic muttering and go make XXX. They brought in Tyrese and teamed him up with Paul Walker, and turned around another hit. This just proves that all you need are good looking actors who are semi-famous and some fast cars. The franchise was bigger than just Vin but do we honestly think it is so big it will succeed without Paul and Tyrese? That’s like saying Baywatch didn’t change any when Pam Anderson left and Carmen Electra joined the slow motion lifeguards.Who is Bow Wow? He’s a rapper that made a successful kids movie called Like Mike. He has a small following but it’s mostly teenage girls who understand what sexy means but not sex. He won’t compare to Tyrese or Paul. Lucas Black is a fine actor but nobody knows who he is, also (like Bow Wow) I don’t think he’ll bring in the females the way Tyrese, Vin or Paul did.Here’s what I would have done to keep the franchise alive. First off scale back the budget. 2 Fast 2 Furious cost $76 million to make. I would have made this one for $65 million and cast Paul again but this time with an unknown hot guy. (Maybe one of those brooding guys on the WB who seem eager to expand beyond fifth network status) Then you’re only paying one salary not two. Instead Universal decided to junk the whole franchise, hire two losers and set the whole thing in Japan. If I’m looking for fast cars I’ll get in the car with my wife driving. At least then I won’t have to sit through 90 minutes of nobodies.

I've seen the film and i think it is absolutly fantastic! it's one of the best films i've sen in ages! Some of the cars in the film are Phat! I definatly want to see the film again!

i think its the worst movie ever especially, with that stupid actor LUCAS BLACVK, where in hell did they find this guy, he looks like a fag, and he is so skinny, and doesnt even know how to talk....tell this loser to get a life and go to hell. he is the worst in hollywood....its so bad.....vin deisel, is made for that movie not lucas fag.............think director.....nobody likes the movie cuz of this young unexperienced trash head.......VIN, VIN....is for this movie not LULU...the fag
