I saw this mesmerizing film last night. What surprised me was that I was totally unaware of the murders during my college days. Some of these murders occurred during the late 60's and 70's while I was in college and graduate school.
The film was riveting, intense and totalling fustrating because of the way police departments from different towns were so detached from each other and unaware of crimes in thier repective areas. I did find the movie a bit too long, but the acting was outstanding.
What I didn't get were the stacks and stacks of evidence that were slated as coincidental or unsubstantiated. Good gosh, Law and Order could go to trial and convict a murder on much less evidence.
I was also amazed at how naive the victims were. Wouldn't you lock your car doors, roll your windows up and take off if a black sedan with tinted windows approached you!
I guess those were more innocent times. Anne
