I feel Alvin on thethe Peter Cullen thing. It might not happen and it would hurt plus to mention that it is gonna be hard to beat Transformers with the classic that they made, but Voltron was my show back in the day and I think that whey can pull it out. Plus I think Pharell backing it will be good.
being a St. Louisan, and remembering rushing home from work to watch Voltron on TV when it first aired, and now living in Japan, I am beyond hyped for a live action Voltron movie!! Do you guys know if there is a connection between JJs 01-18-08 movie & Voltron, or not? Somethings point to that possibility. Love that my home town had the part of dubbing this anime 2 decades ago, and now bringing it to a level Japan did not (they went the way of GO RANGERS, aka Power Rangers for the sentai angle & Gundam fandom took off, leaving shows like GO LION (Voltron) behind -- Bandai should have kept investing in Voltron IMHO ) -- VOLTRON you are loved & #1 ! Thx StL for keeping the LION alive!!!
As remarkable as Voltron (GoLion in Japan) was, I sometimes wonder if live-action remakes are worth it. After the Transformers movie, I started reconsidering my original thoughts. This is promising, and I have to agree with some of the previous posters on this concerning Peter Cullen. He made the cartoon quite awesome, as did Neil Ross voicing Keith.
It would be quite interesting to see who the cast members will be.
With the re-release of the Voltron cartoon on Cartoon Network's BOOMERANG channel, and the unedited DVD release of the original series from Japan, I am even more interested than before! I was watching Voltron back in the 1980's! Heck I was about 10 when I saw my first episode back in 1984.
Here's praying that this goes well. Let's get an awesome cast to do this right! Keep it like we remember it as was done with Transformers!

How is it that we've got a full trailer and a teaser from TransFormers already and NO info, not even cast on Voltron? Is this real? Is Peter 'Optimus Prime' Cullen slated to narrarate Voltron once again? Wont that be a conflict of interest or will he be contractually able to do BOTH films? Have they even considered the narraration as a necessary plot device? Without Peter Cullen narrarating, Voltron is doomed, as cool as he stands.
