Where the smash hit The Princess Diaries ended The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement picks up when Mia (Hathaway) moves into the Royal Palace assuming her role as Princess of Genovia. To her dismay, as the future monarch, she faces the toughest challenge thus far in her short tenure as royalty, the prospect of an arranged marriage. Julie Andrews returns as Mia's wise grandmother Queen Clarisse and Heather Matarazzo returns as her best friend, Lilly. Expect some other familiar faces, as well as a new love interest.
