I went to see this movie on Tuesday, tears flowed freely as I watched this beautiful movie! God Bless everyone who was involved in making this movie! If
only parents would take their children to see it! Then the children would 'know' what Christmas is all about, not gifts under a tree!
I took my only son, 9 years old, Patrick to view the movie, he was totally
impressed! I had explained to him before seeing the movie about several frames of the movie that needs to be explained, such as, the soldiers coming to Bethlehem to kill the innocent boys, and that the birthing of babies in those days was difficult because the women did not go to hospitals, etc. Patrick attends catholic school, but, I still wanted him to see the movie because using the media (in a good way)instills in the child what he reads in the Bible.
Catherine, you did a marvellous job! You deserve an Oscar! Oscars need to go to
Keisha and Oscar as well. Fantastic Acting!A sequel needs to be made!
And Keisha, I pray for you everyday to be strong as Mary was strong in carrying her baby. God has blessed you with life! Please keep yourself well, it is good to have family support! I pray for your boyfriend too, for him to become strong and supportive to be your companion along this journey of love.
God Blessings! Merry Christmas

I saw it last Friday, Dec. 8th. It was gripping and honest. You felt as though you were taking the journey with Mary and Joseph. Traion, Hawaii.

A very good Christmas movie. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD as it will become a family favorite. It really brings back the true story of Christmas.

I saw the movie today and was impressed by the imaginative way the writer and director used the settings in Nazareth, Jerusalem and on the journeys depicted. I thought the young Mary was natural and well acted as were other prominent charcters in this true story.
I though it a pity that Mary did not say her song( the Magnificat) after she met Elizabeth- although parts came out at the end. I was also disappointed that we did not see the visit to the temple and meeting with Simeon and Anna which we are told in Luke's gospel happened well BEFORE the wisemen came. The shepherds and wisemen probably arrived about a year apart so it was inaccurate to have them arriving together.
Nevertheless the film was moving and I was touched by the growing relationship between Mary and Joseph on the journey. Having been to Israel and Palestine, as well as Iran, I know of the desert and the stony grounds.
Thank you for this presentation.

I haven't seen the movie, but I have a keen interest in it as I am a Christian and listener to kink fm, Portland, Oregon, Mike Richs'(the screenplay writer's) stomping grounds.

Currently I'm streaming Christmas music and surfing web sites about the Nativity, looking at photographs and feeling happy and blessed. It seems like Christmas to me, and it will be, soon. Lord bless everyone.

Merry Christmas,
John

I am christian and I honestly have to say that I am truly disappointed with this story. Obviously, since Jews do not believe in Jesus being the 'son of God' you are not going to see Jews in this movie. However, I am find it bothersome that they have Arabs playing Jews when Arabs cannot even relate to this story at all. At least Italian actors and actresses could have related to this story on a personal level. Also, the creator of the movie should have kept it culturally Jewish because Mary and Joseph are Jewish not Arabs. The sense where Mary's parents tell her that she could be stoned in the street, Joseph starts praying to Allah. I was appalled because they could of used the word Heshem that Jews would use because they will not use the word G-d. The potrayal of this movie makes a mockery of what I believe and whatever other christian person belives. If another christian person watches this movie and thinks this is fantastic; they fit into the category of most christians who don't know anything about Judaism. Christianity is suppose to be the fulfullment of Judaism.
