I just visited the site where the lakehouse once stood, I cannot find any info on the internet about the filming of the movie. But here is what I know for sure. The movie was filmed at Maple Lake East, part of the Cook County Forest Preserve Dist. located 4 miles west of I 294 at the 95th st. exit. 95th st. west will lead you right to the entrance. The house was built for the movie and stayed up for about a year, I think. It was replaced by a pier for fishing, from what I understand, this was agreed upon to be built by the film co. for the Forest Preserve Dist. When watching the film, occasionally you can see cars across the lake in back of the house in the very far distance, this is 95th st. I have current pictures of the site, if anyone would like them E mailed, drop me a line at patriot1@sbcglobal.net Hope you enjoyed the film as much as we did, time travel is always a cool thing! See ya, Dave Hoffman
