After seeing the movie my friend and I were equally puzzled, as was the previous reviewer, about the source of knowledge for the $26k pay, and how it played into the plot. Can anyone enlighten us?
I just saw the movie and I think I figured it out. I think that Stephen Collins told his wife that he had been duped by a spy that had been paid $26,000 to stay out of the doghouse with his wife. HE probably got this information from the guy he had follow her. Not sure whether he had her killed though...
Just another liberal view of the world...where the big bad, republicans
are greedy, gun toting, jerks who just want to be bad. Russ Crowe's
character soooooooo ole' The good hippie journalist saves the world...
and the dumb cops can't fiqure out anything?
Why doesn't Ben Affleck and Russel Crowe and the director get into
politicals? Why? Cause they can't write and show a good movie!
This movie get an FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
I think this movie has everything. Intrigue, suspense and drama, what else can we expect?
i am still trying to figure it out
crowe solves the mystery because of the logo on the shirt
& that too sweet young reporter. & he gives her first billing.
too good to be so.
I am also wondering about how the wife knew about the $26,000. Other than that, I thought the movie was entertaining, but I'd rate it only at a C+.

Saw the movie last night and found it to be quite good. One caveat however:
How did the wife know about the $26,000 payout? Did I miss something?
