Silk -
The film is based on a bestselling novel by Alessandro Baricco. The book is the story of a married silkworm smuggler named Herve in 19th Century France traveling to Japan to collect a wormy cargo. While in Japan, he becomes obsessed with the concubine of a local baron, a European woman. Their love exists in secret until Herve's wife Helene (played by Keira) becomes suspicious.

I guess it was filmed in Canada. The two leading characters were not developed enough giving us too much effort in figuring it out ourselves.Too much mumbling of the words. Speak up!The travel to Japan needed some dialogue.
