From all the reviews I'm reading (and being in the same age bracket), I can tell you it gives me GREAT PLEASURE to have Rocky back to 'finish the story'.
You may be a great deal younger than I, and not be able to imagine the thrill of the first 'Rocky'...for all the people who really try to make it..he did.
He was a master of taking an 'average joe' and letting him win against all odds...He also brought amazing interest in Philadelphia. A new hope, a realization that there is a great city that is a wonderful melting pot. A city that grew as Rocky grew. Developed it's beauty, charm, arts, sports, just as he did. He well deserves to be at the Museum of Art. He brought a new life to a tired city and the city knows it!!
May Rocky live on in the hearts and minds of all of the US, and especially in the hearts of Philadelphians. Also it might be a good time to remind you that Sylvester Stallone is not a dumb, pug with no intellect. He happens to be a fine writer with an amazing gift of being able to touch the souls of his viewers! Never underestimate someone with the drive and heart of a lion!!!!!!
Very well said! I'm English and 16 and i have known about the rocky franchise since a little boy and i speak for most people my age when i say he is a legend over hereas much as in America. I cannot wait for the 6th movie and wow what an impact it will be im sure it will live up to the times off Mr T, Apollo and Ivan Drago.
I can't wait to see the new film. I hope it still has the same impact as the others, which have u totally gripped, and shouting at your t.v hoping he'l get up and hit him back! Its good to see them make another as number 5 wasn't the right ending 4 a champion.
