The film is based on the character created by Robert E. Howard (who brought Conan the Barbarian to life) and was adapted for Marvel Comics by Roy Thomas. The screenplay is from David White.
It will follow Sonja as she goes from a victim of tragedy to become one of the most feared female warriors of all time. She will embark on a quest for vengeance on those who destroyed her family, and discover it is up to her to save Hyrkania from the villainous Kulan Gath.
