The story starts in the jungle of the South American continent, where Dr. Henry 'Indiana' Jones finds the entrance to an ancient temple. After surviving numerous deadly traps, he manages to bring a precious handheld statue back to the light; only to be forced to surrender it to Belloq, an old enemy who, supported by an indian tribe, makes off with the statue. Indy flees for his life and barely escapes on a friend's seaplane. But this is just the action packed beginning of a story, that sends Indiana Jones out to seek the Ark of the Covenant, the powerful chest bearing the Ten Commandments. It is the spring of 1936, the Nazis already secretly prepare for war. They want the Ark as an ultimate weopon to destroy all enemies and only Indy stands between them and their goal!
