Adaptation of Rick Riordan's novel.
The story follows Percy Jackson a 12-year-old who is a good kid but cannot seem to focus on school or keep his temper in check.
After some strange events at school his mum tells him the truth. She sends him off to Camp Half-Blood, a summer camp for demigods on Long Island. There he discovers he is the son of the god Poseidon, God of the Sea.
Percy and his new friends embark on an adventure across America to reach the gates of the Underworld and prevent a war between the gods.

i really like the books and the series but whoever the director is please follow the book strictly u can prob add sum stuff but keep everything how it is and itll be a great movie i read eragon and i liked it but when i saw the movie i was really disapointed and i kno alot of ppl who are counting on seeing this movie once i started reading the book i coudnt set it down so again please follow the book

Wow! I can't believe they're making it into a movie! I always thought that if they did it right and got a good cast, it would be an excellent film. This book was made to be an oscar-winner! Can't wait until it comes out.

Hey! I think I found some news about Percy 4! It's nothing much but the date that they're planning to publish it, so it may change. The date is May 6, 2008.

Hey! I think I have more news about the movie and Percy 4. First, I found out that the movie may POSSIBLY come out sometime in 2008. But it's only a rumor, so I don't know if it's true. Second the Percy 4 book has 365 pages and takes place in the Labyrinth. I got this information about Percy 4 off of Rick's blog or website(I don't remember) under Myth and Mystery. Oh, and Andrenna, I got that information off of Yahoo's questions and Answers. P.S. Remember,I don't know if this information is true or not. It's just stuff that I stumbled on when I was surfing the web. Some of the stuff may change too, so if you find that this info is wrong or if you find out more stuff on Percy Jackson, please post it here.

I found out that the publication date for Percy 4 is May 4th! I think someone aready posted that though. There is also going to be a US and UK tour for Percy 4. I found that on Rick's online calender. Does anybody have any movie auditions news?

Hey, I would really like to audition for Percy Jackson as Percy or anyone else and I am a pritty good actor ( I just cant spell very well). Ive been in a professional production of great expectaions by charles dickens as one of the main characters and in lots of other productions. i am about the right age and because every one else is saying it ( the girls) i have straight hair ( even though i am called cirly at baseball. On the coast of Tasmania, Australia there is this beautiful spot that points out to sea. it has great view of some Islands and while its being filmed there you can stop for some nice scenery, Aussie fish and chips and a red wine.

Lots of background water experience. my dad being national spear fisher and dived for abalone for a living. im good in the surf and i play waterpolo. I am the best in my year at school of 100 at holding my breath.
i am quite good with sparring with plastic baceball bats whitch means i would be good with a sword and all my acting experience.
the only thing i dont like about Percy is that he is an apsolustly shoking archer. he is as bad as i am a spellere. Legolas being an apsolute role modle for me i am dissapointed that this hero isnt a great archer.
