I don't want to call Ms. Sarandon a name but I have found that her tastes and politics are too liberal for me. So, I figure this is another Hollywood liberal movie with an agenda about the Iraq war. I work too hard for my money to waste on seeing Hollywood's views yet again.

My husband and I innocently purchased this film one night last week while looking for something to watch on payperview. We are/were Tommy Lee Jones fans. We were appalled at the depths to which Hollywood is sinking. It will be a long time before we watch anything with Jones or Sarendon in it again.
We are both teachers in high school. We are constantly amazed at the lack of patriotism in today's students. The freedoms our country possesses have not been without cost. The fact that so many are willing to trample both those freedoms in the dirt (and those who purchased them)is a chilling reality. I heard one of my students recently say, 'I had rather live in communist country and let someone take care of me.' That is exactly what movies like In the Valley of Elah make our young people think. Our soldiers are not evil and neither is our country. The message of the movie is a cruel lie.

Not a chance I will see this. Anything that the ass sarandon is in, I would not be able to stomach.
