Guy X -
The second feature from Metzstein after his acclaimed LATE NIGHT SHOPPING, which screened at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2001. Jason Biggs stars in this wacked-out war movie - imagine BUFFALO SOLDIERS crossed with M.A.S.H. Set during 1979, with the US and USSR in a Cold War atmosphere, it sees Cpl. Rudy Spruance lost - dropped off (literally) by plane at the top-secret Qangattarsa military base hospital in the frozen wastes of the Arctic, where he is mistaken for another soldier entirely, and comes under the demented command of Lane Woolwrap (Jeremy Northam). The Army doesn't make mistakes, he's told... but how can he establish his own identity? And who is the mysterious invalid, known only as 'Guy X', in the underground ward?
