Diggers -
It's 1976, and, despite the impending presidential election, the residents of the Hamptons, Long Island, have other things on their mind. Their independent livelihood as clam diggers is threatened by the South Shell Corporation, which has legally restricted their available fishing grounds. Then the death of a veteran digger sends them reeling futher, in particular affection his son, Hunt, who hankers to leave town to pursue his photographic interests but doesn't want to abandon his sister Gina, a waitress who is still recuperating from the sudden and bitter breakup of her marriage.
