The movie is set in the summer of 1987 and follows an uptight college graduate who has to take a low paid job at the local amusement park after failing to raise enough cash for a tour of Europe. However, the summer job leads to first love, news friends and sees the grad mature...ready to enter the real world as summer ends.

do they need any extras
My friend is going to be an extra in that movie... =]
I used to work at Adventureland the amusement park this movie is based off of. Personally I didn't find the place entertaining but I am sure the movie will be!
hahaha I can't wait for this movie. I worked at Adventureland for 9 years and you bet I'm gonna show up in the theater with my old work teeshirt. \m/
I used to work there also working games from 1988 - 1991 during HS. Great place to work...just a shame they didn't use the real park in the movie.
IS THIS REALLY BASED OFF THE LONG ISLAND AMUSEMENT PARK?? But Yea, I used to work there too. It actually loved it. When I first saw this I thought it was gonna be a horror movie about all the crazy things that have gone on there but then I found out it was a comedy. Which is good. Can't wait to see how they portray it!
