Adam Resurrected -
The film is based on a novel written by Yoram Kanjuk. It's the story of a former circus clown named Adam Stein who dodged the gas chamber by entertaining Jews as they lined up for their deaths. Stein later ends up in an insane asylum populated by Holocaust survivors, where he becomes something of a ringleader for the patients.

One of the finest, most creative films I have ever seen. Moments of mirth and comedy and suddenly sadness, and pathos. The movie is unpredicteable. Jeff goldblume range of emotions is remarkeable, mirth and joy, hopeless and sadness to manic invincibility. While the film was educational as to the evil of the third reich, I was surprised how entertaining it was.

i am extremely excited about this movie...it potentially can be one of the most important holocaust films ever produced. It deals with an aspect of the holocaust not usually confronted, that is, the 'survivor' who didn't really survive, but, instead, became a broken person. these are not the people we generally hear from. absolutely the most interesting, complicated, and powerful book i have ever read. i hope that the movie will do it justice.
