Missy Elliot to jump to the big screen for Universal and Robert De Niro

Not only is Missy Elliott’s life about to become the latest rapper bio-film, but now the performer is scheduled to star in the upcoming Universal Pictures film – which is also being produced by none other than Robert De Niro through his Tribeca Films company.

The four time Grammy winning Elliot released her debut album ‘Supa Dupa Fly’ in 1997. The album featured the monster hits “Da Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” and “Beep Me 911.”

In 2001, she released ‘Miss E… So Addictive’ which saw her team with Ludacris and Trina. The album went on to see hit singles with “”Get Ur Freak On” and “One Minute Man.”

Elliot released ‘The Cookbook’ in 2005 which went on to be nominated for a Best Rap Album Grammy. She has released six albums since debuting, and collaborated with a number of top industry artist.
