MINK and Hard Rock International team up to raise funds for Musicians On Call

New York City-based alternative rock band MINK are teaming up with Hard Rock International during the month of March 2008. MINK will be performing at eighteen (18) Hard Rock Cafe locations across the country to help raise money and awareness for Musicians On Call, Hard Rock’s selected charity for their March on Stage program, a global live music series by high-caliber iconic and emerging artists.

With dates ranging from the end of February 2008 to the beginning of April 2008, both MINK and Hard Rock plan to make a massive impact for the nonprofit that helps deliver the healing power of music to patients in health care facilities across the country.

100% of all door proceeds for the shows booked during this time will be given to the charity.

Lead Singer of MINK, Neal Carlson, says “We couldn’t be happier doing this Hard Rock Cafe tour, in part because we’ll get to play the songs off our debut album, but also because it’s raising money for the Musicians On Call charity.”

“We are truly excited to add such a talented artist as MINK to Hard Rock’s March on Stage concert lineup to benefit Musicians on Call,” says Romy Mehlman, Regional Marketing Director, Hard Rock International.  “MINK joins several of today’s hottest artists for March on Stage, and we are thrilled to see such tremendous support for this great cause.”

This will be the third national tour in the last 10 months for a band that Variety says is: “a melodically powerful pop-punk band with the star power of Aerosmith and David Bowie”. Highlights for MINK last year have included performances at Lollapalooza, a promotional partnership with Apple Store and as a support act for Perry Farrell and rock legends KISS.
