Hello and welcome to The TV Cricket! This blog has nothing to do with the English sport (honestly, that game is so confusing, who understands it well enough to blog about it?), nor with the tiny field insect. The title is a reference to an episode of The Simpsons when Homer judges at a film festival with a bunch of critics and says, “It’s not tough being a film cricket.” Well it may not be tough to be a critic, but it sure is fun. Hopefully this will be a place where we can all just talk about television. I’ll be writing episode reviews, and every Friday I’ll post the major news I came across that week–whether it be casting announcements or revealing bits of information from an article or interview. Just so you know what my taste is, these are some of the shows you can expect to see covered on here: Lost, True Blood, Chuck, Friday Night Lights, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, Bones, The Good Wife, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, The Office, Modern Family, Caprica, Doctor Who, The Closer, Leverage, and Dexter. And because I have trouble letting go, you can also count on seeing plenty of references to past shows like Battlestar Galactica, Alias, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Wire, and Veronica Mars. I really want to hear all of your tv questions/observations/rantings in the comments section on this blog so that I know what you like to read about the most. One of my favorite things in life is helping people find new shows to love. You can follow me on Twitter @theTVcricket. Happy viewing! Note the date on this article may be incorrect due to importing it from our old system.
