Mary J. Blige has “One Life to Live”

Grammy winning R&B singer Mary J. Blige will find some drama in her life as she appears on the long-running hit soap opera “One Life to Live” on ABC this July.

The singer has been riding high on several successes of late with her new album “The Breakthrough.” The album has spawned a successful summer tour and a hit video which saw the 35-year-old singer team with music industry icons U2 for a cover of the band’s “One.”

Blige’s career has been the thing of musical legend after she was discovered from a recording she made of Anita Baker’s “Caught Up In The Rapture” at a local shopping mall.

She made her acting debut on the “Jaime Foxx Show” and also appeared in the independent film “Prison Song.” The singer has also made a cameo on Lifetime Network’s “Strong Medicine.”
