The teflon celebrity, Lindsay Lohan, has escaped felony charges Thursday when prosecutors filed seven misdemeanor counts against her stemming from two drunken-driving arrests, according to TMZ.com.
As to why no felony charges were filed, the DA reports Lohan’s cocaine traces “were below the .05 grams required by office policy for felony filing.”
TMZ sources say there were also problems even proving she was in possession of the drug.
The district attorney charged the 21-year-old actress with two counts of driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol level above .08 percent and being under the influence of cocaine and one count of reckless driving.
Police found cocaine on Lohan during the arrests on May 26 in Beverly Hills and July 24 in Santa Monica.Note the date on this article may be incorrect due to importing it from our old system.
