Coachella Music Festival beckons for troubled actress Lindsay Lohan.
This year’s event take place on two weekends, April 12-14, and April 19-21, and the line-up includes Jello Biafra, The Lumineers, Of Monsters and Men, and Sigur Ros among many acts.
Radar is reporting that Lindsay Lohan has pleaded with prosecutors to postpone her court ordered rehab stay until late April, so she can attend the Coachella music festival.
“Lindsay was adamant that she not be forced to go to rehab until after the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the Palm Springs area on successive weekends in April. Lindsay LOVES going to the musical festival, and she’s determined to go this year. She didn’t want a little thing like rehab to get in her way of attending. Linds refused to sign off on any deal that would have prevented her from going to Coachella, period. Yes, it’s that important to her, for some strange reason,” an unnamed source told Radar exclusively.
This will be Lohan’s sixth trip to rehab since 2007.
Addiction specialist Dr. Damon Raskin – who was himself a former child star – of the Cliffside Malibu Treatment Center, commented on this latest Lohan news. “From a medical standpoint, hopefully she can voluntarily commit herself to a minimum of three to six months of inpatient rehab to get the sort of care she needs to recover.”
