Munich - After a three-year absence, Disney Cruise Line will again begin offering services in Europe next year.
The US-based Disney Cruise Line, which specialises in family vacations, will offer cruises on the ship Disney Magic stopping in various Mediterranean and Baltic Sea ports over a five-month period. Disney Magic can carry up to 2,700 vacationers. Its sister ship, the Disney Wonder, carries the same number.
The Baltic Sea ports on the cruise include for the first time Rostock-Warnemuende and Saint Petersburg, Disney's German office announced. The two starting ports for the 10- to 12-day cruises are Barcelona and Dover.
In the next few years Disney's cruise ship fleet is expected to double from two to four. The Disney Dream is expected to be completed in 2011 and a year later its sister ship, the Disney Fantasy, should be ready to sail.
