Get ready for a second showdown as Chester’s Blacksmith Shop and White Walls Gallery return to the Sundance Film Festival with HANG ‘M HIGH, a group exhibition featuring the finest trailblazers of the Street, Graffiti, and New Fine Art movements.
The opening reception will take place on Friday, January 19 from 7 to 11pm at Chester’s Blacksmith Shop and sister store, Mary Jane’s. The exhibition will be on view until February 25, 2007.
Hot off the trail of last year’s YOUNG GUNS exhibition, HANG ‘M HIGH will feature new works by Shepard Fairey, Gary Baseman, Sam Flores, Mike Giant, Caleb Neelon, Sylvia Ji, Anne Faith Nichols, and others at large.
Jeff Wardell, proprietor of Chester’s Blacksmith Shop, adds “I am thrilled again to have such high caliber artists for our HANG ‘M HIGH show. All of these artists are surely working at the top of their game right now and to get them in the same show is incredible. It will be an additional treat to have Sam, Sylvia, Gary and Caleb out for the opening—and for fresh in-store installations.”
Artists Gary Baseman, Sam Flores, Caleb Neelon, and Sylvia Ji will be present for the fandango on Friday, January 19, which is sponsored by Juxtapoz magazine, Stella Artois, and Hint Mint.
Forging a new era in men’s lifestyle stores, Chester’s Blacksmith Shop opened its doors in October 2005 in Park City, Utah.
