TRUE IT MAY SEEM, the film maker has no evidence, but unluckily the Christianity has no evidence either that Jesus was crucified. Actually the Jewish peole still think that Jesus was an illegitimate child.

Actually, Jews don't think about Jesus at all - he has no place in Judaism. Wherever did you get the idea that they think of him as 'an illegitimate child'?

'unluckily the Christianity has no evidence either that Jesus was crucified.'

If you are not going to believe the Bible (which is still used a valid historical document by historians), then how about looking into Jewish and/or Roman sources?

No1Uknow:
'Greek Orthodox Church are hypocrites'

Were you part of the Greek Orthodoxy to make this blanket statement?

Christianity is the Truth. It pisses everyone off. Why? No one likes to hear the truth.

The 'resurrection' was a marketing tool used to capture the attention of the Romans for a new religion. Nothing original there at all, it was simply a rehash of previous religions. In that day and time 'supernatural' won attention. (Whoa, things haven't changed much have they?) If they went around and said Jesus was this guy, a carpenter and rabbi, who went around teaching people that they need to get back to old school. Stop being hypocrites, love thy neighbor, take care of each other. How much attention would that garner?

But if you say, 'they buried him in a tomb and his body disappeared and he showed back up to a few people and said I'll be back and if you were good and followed me I'll take you with me and the rest can fight it out'. Now there's something to get worked up about.

However this 'documentary' leaves much to be desired and is as much based on speculation as the bible is a fairy tale.

I wonder why there is so much disagreement and hatred concerning the statement of the Orthodox Church. The movie 'The Lost Tomb of Jesus Christ' has no facts or real evidence. The Bible on the other hand has been scrutinized numerous times and yet the message is loud and clear. Jesus Christ was on earth, yes he was crucified and yes he resurrected. Not even the doors of hell will prevail over the Church of Christ. May God be merciful to your ignorance and blasphemy.

jesus said in the bible,

'I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 31'If I alone bear witness of Myself, My testimony is not true. 32'There is another who bears witness of Me, and I know that the testimony which He bears of Me is true,' (John 5:30-32, NASB).

WORSHIPING THE ONE WHO CREATED JESUS,THE ONE who bears witness of EVERY ONE IS THE RIGHT WAY.THE ONE GOD 'ALLAH' LORD OF THE WORLDS.ISLAM IS THE WAY OUT.

'We express our sorrow over the historical ignorance, lack of scientific base and evidence of this case.......

Since when did the christian church require evidence or scientific basis for their beleifs?

I find Cameron's take more interesting. The old story is getting tired.

Scholarship first, vulgarity lastAug 16th, 2007 - 19:22:04

Why are so many opponents of Christianity reduced to vulgar expressions rather than critical analysis? James Cameron's film, like Dan Brown's novel and its imitators, are well-planned, highly profitable commercial ventures designed to appeal to a chronically suspicious, lowest common denominator reader/viewer who is sure 'They' are in a Dark Conspiracy. Definitely sells everytime!

Why? Christianity, like Judaism, isn't a mystery cult. Everything is out in the daylight. Even Appalachian snake-handlers cheerfully welcome visitors to services. There are no secret societies, no secret handshakes. The paranoid mind invents them out of hot air.

Individual members of any group (including atheists) can be hypocrites; that's their sad choice. To call ALL members of ANY national, racial, gender, or religious groups 'hypocrites' is profoundly hypocritical and 'hate language.' Being bigoted is socially and morally wrong. Being logically opposed to Adolf Hitler and the Nazi movement based on provable historical evidence is one thing; adopting his paranoid and pagan revulsion against the Judeo-Christian belief system is frankly scary.

Please take a good look at the giant timber beam blocking your own vision before you poke out your neighbor's eye to remove a fleck of dust!!

LOL. Because Christianity ISN'T a well planned, profit making venture. Everything is out in the open, except that the individual sects’ interpretation of the bible has to be distilled down specifically by church elders.
BTW, which brand of Christianity is the 'right' one? They can't all be the 'truth'; the contradictions are within their core doctrines

How many years before this 'mocumentary' is legit?
Is 2000 years the threshold?

You can't believe that the story of Christ is true because it is old. Considering the witnesses are long dead, the original authors are long dead, and the text has been translated, edited, disputed and manipulated over 2 millennium, I think it has lost legitimacy.

You consider the source when you mock James Cameron and you are rightly skeptical.

Why don't you consider the motives of the thousands of people responsible for the Bible?

Christians want to believe in virgin birth, yet they are all to ready claim something that makes Jesus become more human is not based on any evidence. An idea based solely on faith should not critique others on the basis of evidence or science.

Well to all antichrist believers,to shut you all up,why trying to take a trip to jerusalem to Jesus's tomb on orthodox easter and watch the holy light come out of the tomb and the blue lightning coming from no where and then lets talk about the ressurection and the truth about christianity and the ressurection.Even scientists have travelled to see the holy light and they cant find the explanation. The holy bible of Christ is still the number one best seller in the world. Its time to wake up unbelievers seek the truth, you will find it through Jesus Christ. As satan says'you dont see Him you dont see me,He doesnt exist, neither do i,but i do my job very well'He who has ears may hear.Jesus lives within us and loves us all believers and unbelievers.Look up at youtube and search the holy light at the tomb of Jesus The Christ.

The is a work of fiction. James Cameron is a Movie maker, not someone to be taken seriously as a historian. I really doubt if the money changer he works for in Hollywood would have allowed him to make a REAL movie based on FACT and not the standard, jewish BS about Christianity, but GOD sees all and will sort them out soon enough. The Jews missed the boat...so let's not go there, they wouldn't know the light if it came and bit them in the ass. The only voices they hear, are from below and the only thing they worship is the almighty dollar.
