That's awesome, Aphrodite listened to my pleas, once. Poseidon almost broke my wrist while I was boogeyboarding, for talking smack. They should be able to do this.

You just fell for someone,Aphrodite didn't answer. Also, Posedion didn't almost break your wrist for talking smack, the currents were probably just bad that day and you didn't know that.

I feel passionate about my love for and belief in my God. I feel that everyone has the right to believe and worship as the need.

It has not been that long ago that Christians were forced underground because of their beliefs. We are supposed to lead by example and I am wondering what example we are sending by meeting other beliefs with anger and hostility.

We are expected to spread the good word to the world. We are not expected to knock others in the head and force them to practice a religion they do not believe in or trust.

Faith and religious practice is a very personal thing. It is between a person and their God. I will not bow before an idle, but do I have the right to force others to believe as I do? Because I accept Christ as the son of God, does that mean that the Jews are an enemy? No! Because I pray to God and confess my sins directly does this mean that those who practice Catholicism are wrong? No!

Why is it that individuals believe that the way they worship is the only way or the correct way? Does God not hear all prayers? Does condoning the beliefs of others act against our own? Do we need another criminal act of aggression wrapped in the cloak of a religious group, the Spanish Inquisition, to force others to fit in?

Would the world be happier, would your God be happier, if we were the keeper of our brothers and sisters? Is there something wrong with all of us that we can not care for those in need unless we see these individuals splashed across a television or computer screen? Can we only help those that believe as we do?

I know I have listed more questions then anything else. It is for a reason. I wish to encourage others to think. Think about what is right. Right for all.

I believe my God sacrificed his son for all. I believe that as beings, the human race has caused more suffering over religious belief than any other creature.

I also believe that religious belief is much like a drive through life. There are many roads to heaven. Not all of us take the same rout, but many get there just the same. Much like this example, many Christians can not agree on how to worship their God even though they may be worshiping the same God.

God fills our needs in different ways. Some people believe that God resides in or cannot hear our prayers unless we go into a church or building. Others believe that our prayers are heard anywhere, anytime, any way.

When we believe, we can be better people. There is nothing lost by living a life where the needs of others are considered. There is nothing lost by living a ethical life. There is nothing lost by being thankful for every moment of every day. There is nothing lost by being thankful for everyone that is placed in our life or along our walk through life.

I have many friends. Not all believe as I do. I have stated many times that I only ask that all pray. Pray for peace in a world where, because human beings are what they are, we may find within ourselves the strength to love others for what they are and the choices they make.

I believe that God knew me before I was. God knew the choices I would make and loves me any way. I believe that everything happens for a reason. Because I believe as I do, I understand the importance of faith. I do not have the right to take anyone's belief or practice of their belief away unless I am willing to loose my own.

It only takes one step, one action, for a mob to step up and strip away the right to worship you God away because it may not be the popular God. We need to respect others. If you disagree with their faith, learn why and how these others believe. Knowledge is power. There was a time in our own history when many books were burned because they were in a foreign language. Good people burned books because they were afraid of the message in these books. Many bibles were burned because if ignorance.

I am atheist.
My family was orthodox and baptised as ortodox one year old!!!.
But mainly I am of Hellenic origin.
I cannot afford the major destroying of the Hellenic Temples by the cristians arourn 5th century.
There was 400 temples in the Hellenic teritory.
Now survive less than ten.

I beleive that you cannot be of Hellenic origin and be cristian.
There is a major difference in philosophy of the two.
The Hellenic liberation to everything cannot survive under cristian conformism.
Cristianism during 5th century adopted by force as another center to govern people.
I cannot beleive that in 100 years the majority of the people change their religion , which they have for at least 3000 years , becouse they believe to the only real god who came from Palestine(a region with not any significant culture).
If a Hellenic origin man (or woman) feels the need to beleive somewhere , I thing that there is no need to Import gods.
The Hellenic teritory have a lot and maybe the Best ,becouse they are like you.

besr regards
