Bite-size cake on a stick available at Harrods
London (dpa) - Trendy Londoners no longer have to worry about getting their fingers sticky eating cupcakes as they can now snack on bite-size pieces of cake on a stick. The treats are coated with a sugary glaze or chocolate and the wooden stick prevents sticky fingers.
The tiny cakes are available in selected shops such as Selfridges and the luxury department store Harrods. Anyone invited to Lady Gaga's for coffee should consider bringing along some Cake Pops as the singer has been seen with one of the little cakes on a stick.
Rose Kennedy lends her name to a trendy cocktail
Berlin (dpa) - Bars in Berlin frequented by artists, gays and drag queens are serving a new cocktail named after the mother of US President John F Kennedy.
The light pink and refreshing drink is a mixture of vodka (as much as you want), sparkling mineral water (as much as you want) and a splash of cranberry juice (just enough to give the clear drink a little colour).
Rose Kennedy, who died in 1995 at the age of 104, is said to have liked drinking the cocktail. A gay party group in Berlin fronted by the infamous Nina Queer has also adopted the name Rose Kennedy.
Versace styles to be on H&M racks from November
Stockholm (dpa) - The Swedish discount fashion retailer H&M is collaborating with Donatella Versace on clothing due to appear in about 300 H&M stores on November 17.
Donatella Versace, who became one of the top figures of the Versace Group after the murder of her brother Gianni in 1997, is not the first top designer to do a collection for H&M. Fashions by Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and others also have been sold in the chain's stores worldwide.
