M&C Holiday Web Thump for curious budget conscious consumers:
La Falaise, a new French organic bath line, was a happy discovery at the past Emmy gifting suites where their reps doled out canvas shopping bags filled with the cruelty free, certified organic body care products that are not perfumey, but redolent of natural oils, citrus, herbs and natural scents that benefit the skin.
The line comes in seven distinct lines of bar soaps, hand soaps, body wash, bath salts, and body lotions and are all natural in scent and ingredients. Each product is certified by the European regulatory standard, ECOCERT and combines a blend of natural ingredients and scents to cleanse, exfoliate, nourish, rejuvenate and soothe. All of there very attractive and delicious smelling products are environmentally friendly and support sustainable agricultural practices around the world.
They are also in compliance with Cosmebio’s charter for environmentally friendly and organic cosmetics standards; their packaging is 100% recyclable and are animal friendly. This means that the red-flag ingredients such as parabens, GMOs, or synthetic chemicals are absent, and the product line is safe for the whole family.
The base ingredients for the items I tried were rich in vitamin E and Argan oil, which is known for its nutritive and regenerative properties. Its anti-oxidant properties help the skin too. Argan shell in the soaps provides a very gentle exfoliation without harsh irritation.
My personal favorites were the Organic Algae & Carthame Liquid Soap, which contains exfoliating algae oil and skin rejuvenating Carthumus in a rich palm oil lather to cleanse with the essential oils of sandalwood, green tea, cardamom and mint leaves and galbanum to give the fragrance a natural clarifying lift. I loved it.
The Argan line of soaps too was enjoyed, and the fragrance of the Argan oil stimulates healing and has anti inflammatory properties.
The notes are of natural orange and mimosa, layered with a just a hint of violet and patchouli.
The Honey and Macadamia soap too felt wonderful to me, and I loved the light and creamy lather and rich smelling fragrance infused with real vanilla, not too overpowering as some vanilla-laced products have a tendency to be.
Honey is a natural humectant which means it attracts moisture to the surface of the skin. It provides a moisturizing benefit without a load of emulsified waxes that so many dry skin products are loaded with.
Macadamia essential oil is rich in palmitoleic acid, an efficient anti-oxidant agent to fight aging effect on skin cells. It is an ideal source of moisture and nourishment for sensitive or fragile skin, too.
Falaise's French organic bath line is a real indulgence and look like a million bucks, but the price point is moderate- low, comparable to Whole Foods bodycare prices, not many items over $15.
Great gift idea for the spa addict or anyone who likes being submerged in a nice hot tub. Male or female.
