Anastasia on the ideal brow colors for hair color:

"The ideal brow color depends on your natural hair color, and any chemical coloring you may use.  Normally, I recommend that a client’s brows be about one shade darker than the color of the hair to add balance and proportion to the face.

Anastasia on the biggest brow no nos:

"There are three major mistakes. The first is creating the wrong shape for your face by either creating a brow that over or under-arched.   Using my patented stencils combats this, creating a perfect brow shape every time.

 
The second issue is over-tweezing.  Many woman tweeze their brows thinner and thinner, fearing overly full or thick brow hair.  The truth is that a fuller brow makes you look more youthful, and I help clients rehab their brows everyday with Brow Enhancing Serum Advanced and Brow Powder Duo. 
 
The last mistake is brows that don’t match your hair color.  Every day in my salon, I see brows that are either far too light or far too dark for the woman’s hair color.  I usually recommend that brows be about a shade darker than your hair color to create balance and definition in your face.   This is especially important for women with very light hair, as having brows that either match exactly, or are too dark will not be flattering.
