White Trash Beautiful! Nikki Lund talks fashion and what's to come
By April MacIntyre Dec 9, 2011, 23:01 GMT

Lund had caught the attention of Sambora by way of her Eccentric Symphony fashion line. The two created White Trash Beautiful, clothing for women with plans to expand into menswear and accessories.
The definitive look for LA hip is casually hot, deconstructed cool and all about the body.
Rocker Richie Sambora sought out established designer Nikki Lund, and together the two have cooked up hot clothing line, White Trash Beautiful. http://wtbclothing.com/
This musical fashion fusion melds the rocker aesthetic and the West coast ethos of comfort and sexiness, in clothing made from texturally luxurious fabrics that range from cotton to leather.

Lund had caught the attention of Sambora by way of her Eccentric Symphony fashion line. The two created White Trash Beautiful, clothing for women with plans to further expand into menswear and accessories.

Their made in the USA line of clothes are meant to be worn from day to night, and can be ramped up or down by accessories. Lund’s fashion is worn by stars like Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Demi Lovato, Blake Shelton, Jon Bon Jovi, Nicole Scherzinger, Kelly Clarkson, Estelle and Sarah Hyland. Prior to their collaboration, Sambora was a client too.
Lund and Sambora have debuted White Trash Beautiful during Fashion week to great fanfare, even having noted Emmy award winning-makeup artist Melanie Mills design the makeup for their fashion runway show.
The sexy line WTB is designed for women who love to wear eyecatching comfortable clothes that are unique and layer beautifully.
Monsters and Critics asked Nikki about fashion and her take on what's to come:
Monsters and Critics: Nikki, as a designer, what is your favorite influence, is it a period of time, a particular look from the past redone and modernized? What excites you when you conceptualize your line of clothing?
Nikki L: My influence as a fashion designer is ever changing, but it can be anything from music to what is happening in the world to a relationship/dynamic in my life, good, bad or indifferent.
In the world of fashion, I favor the 1960’s and 1970’s... Mod fashion. To me it is the birth of what is now referred to as retro. Mod designs, similar to my collections are all about making a statement, being bold, colorful and modern. I am excited that woman of all shapes and sizes can enjoy the collection.
M&C: I hear black and white is big for spring 2012. Give me some trends in casual clothing design that we can expect going into 2012. What are you excited about and debuting in your collection? Talk about colors you all "play" in, what is the palette for Nikki Rich going forward?.
Nikki L: Black and white will be a big trend for the coldest part of the season. White to me always symbolizes the arrival of the sunny season.
The total white look is going to be one of the hottest trends because I find it capable of adding a touch of sophistication and refinement to your looks.
Black is always there, it allows us women to play with all the other shades and create those fun funky combinations. Black is forever the safest and most refined option.
As for other more versatile hues I think you will find caramel, cream, light pink, coral, peach and nude. Orange, yellow, vibrant red always make our spring and summer brighter, from scorching red to paler and lovelier tones, red is utterly hot in the upcoming warm season.
I personally played with eclectic fun prints and dyes, black, white, grey, orange, lime and a dusty pink. I am most excited about the low price point Nikki Rich will offer the customer. The silhouettes I am most excited about and think we will be best known for are our date blouses and easy to wear maxi dresses.
Moving forward I would like to expand into men's, shoes, handbags and accessories.
