Hollywood Trender: TanTowel towelettes secret weapon for camera ready skin
By April MacIntyre Jan 17, 2011, 7:47 GMT

Makeup departments in Hollywood use a ton of self-tanners to enhance actors' skin tones for the camera, and one of the bridge products that prolongs an expensive and labor intensive airbrush tan is a simple towel, saturated with self-tanner formula.
TanTowel has a delivered a patented self-tanning towelette that provides a nice, quick boost with customizable results that range from a sun-kissed glow to a dark tan, depending on your usage of the product.

Why they have taken hold in Hollywood makeup trailers is that they are easy and quick-drying with no unpleasant odor, and truly deliver a streak-free tan. Perfect for long shoots where continuity is key for an actor's physical look on camera.
Easy to find, the Tan Towel is available at HSN.com and is a nice addition to your arsenal of tanning tricks to keep yourself ready for sexy bare leg evening dress, or arms that look bronzed for short sleeves.
Seen on set: Full-Body PLUS Self-Tan Towelettes - concentrated self-tanning formula in a pre-measured, disposable towelette. Bonus is this exfoliates and moisturizes as it helps build and maintain color.
Moisture Mist and On the Glow Self Tanning Moisturizer - tinted daily moisturizer formulated with skin color-enhancing ingredients.
How does it work?
Apply the self-tanning formula saturated moist towelette for color that fully appears in 2-3 hours. For a darker tan, you may apply another TanTowel or TanTowel PLUS after 3 hours. Your tan will last for 5-7 days. When you notice it fading, simply re-apply. The natural ingredient Erythulose boosts your natural melanin for the "tan" color. DHA, jojoba juice and aloe vera are other ingrredients.
