Lancôme has coordinated a fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Hospital called Genes Day.
On October 22, Lancôme will donate $7 from the sale of every bottle of Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. St. Jude is the first and only pediatric cancer center to be designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute.
Lancôme has pledged to donate a minimum of $100,000 to St. Jude. Génifique is a new product that touts improvement in skin tone, texture and luminosity within just seven days.
Along with brand ambassador Julia Roberts, fans of this new serum include “Mad Men” actress Christina Hendricks, Lily Allen, supermodel Veronica Webb and star makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury.
The $7 donation will be made for every concentrate sold at a Lancôme counter in the United States or at lancome-usa.com on October 22nd. Those new to Genifique are welcome to stop by the counter that day for a deluxe seven-day sample of the product. No purchase is necessary.
St. Judes was founded by late entertainer Danny Thomas and is based in Memphis, Tennessee.
St. Jude freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. No child is ever denied treatment because of the family's inability to pay.
St. Jude is financially supported by ALSAC, its fundraising organization. In 2010, St. Jude was ranked the most trusted charity in the nation in a public survey conducted by Harris Interactive, a highly respected international polling and research firm. St. Jude was also named the nation's top children's cancer hospital in the 2010-11 Best Children's Hospitals rankings published by U.S. News & World Report.
