Eat This Not That: Edward's Hershey's Creme Pie is shockingly good

We never expected much from a frozen pie line, as most of the crusts are tough as shoe leather and the flavors are bland. Or they taste artificial and are lame overall.

We never expected much from a frozen pie line, as most of the crusts are tough as shoe leather and the flavors are bland. Or they taste artificial and are lame overall.

Not so for Edward's Hershey's Creme Pie, replete with a perfect choolate cookie crust.

It blew us away for quality and addictiveness. If you have no time to bake, meet your new best friend in the freezer case.

Founded back in 1950, Edwards has been committed to providing customers with convenient, great-tasting frozen desserts made with premium, high-quality ingredients ever since. Even better, their large variety of mouth-watering pies and desserts are available as whole pies as well as in convenient individual servings, so there's something for everyone.

If you classify yourself as a chocoholic, you must try the Edward's Hershey's Crème Pie, one of thirteen flavors that include Key Lime, Turtle, Boston Creme Pie, Coconut Creme, Salted Caramel and more. They're even selling individual slices now for the pie lover who just wants a slice, and less temptation laying around.

What we love about the Edward's Hershey's Crème Pie are the contrasting textures, pure creaminess and quality of the filling on top of a crust that is brilliant, (we think it's ice box chocolate cookies ground and formed in the pan with a chocolate mouse and whipped cream top).

The first layer of flavor is the firm chocolate icebox cookie crust, and the second layer is a light vanilla crème followed by a delicious whipped chocolate crème and next is mini Hershey chocolate chips,  finished with whipped crème. The layers of flavors all work together to make this pie the best tasting dessert with chocolate I have had in a long time. Edward's Hershey's Crème Pie is then drizzled with real Hershey's Chocolate. The whipped crème around the top of the pie tastes like the real deal. The mini Hershey's chocolate chips give the pie more delicious texture.

Serving Suggestions are listed on the package:

Keep Frozen Until Ready to Serve. Do Not Microwave. For A Firm Texture, Serve Right from The Freezer. Slice Frozen Pie With Knife Moistened In Warm Water. Return Unused Pie Immediately to Freezer. For A Soft Texture, Let Stand At Room Temperature.
