SHISO SANGRIA

1 1/2 parts GREY GOOSE® L’Orange Flavored Vodka
1 part plum wine
1/2 lime, cut into wedges
3/4 part simple syrup
1/4 plum, diced
4-6 shiso leaves (cilantro may be substituted)
In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, place plums, shiso leaves, lime and simple syrup.
Muddle well. Add ice and remaining ingredients, and shake vigorously. Strain into a
rocks glass, and present with a plum slice and shiso leaf.
This colorful, delicious cocktail owes its unique taste to shiso, a Japanese herb with
a peppery taste. Find it at a Japanese market, and consider using it in simple dishes
to create a perfect pairing for this cocktail. Add it to pastas or salads, and use it as
you would basil or parsley.
