Reality TV star Kim Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, age 55, decided to have a facelift for Kim's upcoming wedding.
Unlike most people, Jenner opted for a "warts and all" filmed surgery segment to be included in their ongoing E! reality TV series, "Keeping up with the Kardashians."

Jenner's surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher, revealed his procedure to X17 : "To be even more beautiful for Kim's wedding, I performed a Format Face Pinnacle Lift on Kris Jenner. This is a very customized premium quality, natural face rejuvenation procedure designed to freshen up and open the eyes, elevate the cheeks, and provide youthful contours to the jawline and neck."
"This procedure allows quick healing. She looked gorgeous before of course and looks absolutely stunning now and is very happy with the results. You can watch every detail of the surgery on Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
Dr. Fisher seems to have a vested interest in keeping up with all those Kardashians.
Monsters and Critics asked our go-to expert, cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Alexander Rivkin, a Yale-trained specialist renowned for non-surgical cosmetic procedures, about this "pinnacle" facelift.

As a physician educator, Dr. Rivkin teaches other doctors nationally on the state of the art in non surgical techniques. He contributes his medical expertise and commentary regularly to Monsters and Critics consumer health section, and has been featured on the TODAY show, The DOCTORS show, the Tyra Banks Show, EXTRA, Univision, PBS, KNBC-TV, KABC-TV and many more.
Dr. Rivkin gave us his take on Jenner's procedure, and what it really means:
"This looks like a great job. He really addressed the aspects of her face and neck that were beginning to show her age without making her look unnatural or 'done.' Its a great example of quality plastic surgery - natural looking, subtle improvements that make the patient look refreshed without anyone being able to tell that anything has been done."
Dr. Rivkin says, "I would not recommend your readers to start calling around for surgeons who do the 'Format Face Pinnacle Lift' procedure. It is not in the medical literature. It's just a name given to the very good way that Dr. Fisher does facelifts, mostly for publicity purposes, as far as I can tell. With any cosmetic procedure, be it Botox, breast enhancement or butt lift, finding a really great doctor is critical. There is no magic formula to these procedures - finding a skilled doctor who comes highly recommended, and whose before and after results you have looked at and seen to be effective and natural - and who listens and customizes the procedure to his patients' individuality is the most important predictor of success."
