Summer grooming notes: Hair removal made easy by No! No!

There is a clever alternative to all that - a small device that packs a huge powerful punch in the de-hairing wars; American company The No!No!, which looks like an iPod but using a patented Thermicon™ technology which destroys the hair down to the follicle, delaying and disrupting future hair growth.

Summer is smacking up the nation currently with 90 degree + humid hot weather, and with that comes shorts, skirts and lots of skin bared.

Hair removal, like a well-maintained pedicure, is front and center for the season: Depilatory creams, waxing, shaving, threading, lasering and electrolysis all of which (except electrolysis) have to be repeated and in the case of the last two, costs a fortune.

There is a clever alternative to all that - a small device that packs a huge powerful punch in the de-hairing wars; American company The No! No!, which looks like an iPod but using a patented Thermicon™ technology which destroys the hair down to the follicle, delaying and disrupting future hair growth.

What I love about it is the easy usage, you charge it up, pop in the appropriate replaceable tips, and push a button. The LCD screen is easy to read and lets you know when it is time to replace the tips.

The roller guides you for an effortless gliding motion over the skin you which to treat. Burnt hair smell is the only downside, as it crystallizes the hair.  Then you are provided a buffer to gently rid the skin of this hair and then you can apply their moisturizer that has hair growth inhibitors to prolong the treatment.

This is a pain free process and a home version of what professionals use in salons, plus this works for everyone, any skincolor, hair color and is meant to become a regular part of your beauty regimen.

The results are pretty impressive, and considering how easy it is to use this product, and that there are no annoying batteries or dangerous bright bursts of light that can blind you, the No! No! is a big yes yes (I had to) for an investment in your beauty arsenal.

Thermicon treatment doesn’t target the melanin in the hair follicle like a laser does, people with dark skin or blond, red, white or gray hair are able to use the device without any risk of burning or skin discoloration. The No! No! is solely heat based. It works by emitting a gentle pulse of heat from a wire which travels down to the hair follicle and prevents hair growth from taking place.

Now, you will have hair grow back, but it will be more sparse, and thinner and finer. Once you get into a rhythm of usage, you can manage to keep smooth and hair free with little effort.  In the beginning you will want to use it about 2-3 times a week during the initial stages (2-3 months) of use. With time, you will need to use it less often.   The company recommends you avoid the genital and breast area.
