A new American company in San Francisco is designing pet beds that are inspired by local artists, and are re-purposing plastic refuse in a hip and clever way inside the most luxe and cozy pet beds you will ever find.

Meet P.L.A.Y Pet beds, stunningly simple and beautifully made pet beds with washable cotton covers and recycled materials. The company has artist David Collins’ playful, pretty graphics in an array of cool choices that will make harmonizing your dog or cat bed so much easier with your home decor.

Founder, William Chen, created P.L.A.Y. (Pet Lifestyle And You) Pet Beds as an environmentally-friendly pet bed company that fuses function and style with exclusive artwork expressed on the pet bed covers by local artists.

Chen says, Pet owners, like myself, were paying too much for an unoriginal yet very visible addition to their homes. I wanted to design something better for pet owners, their pets and the planet."

The highlights of this must-own American company's pet bed include:

    * 100% soft natural cotton covering - breathable and allergy-free.
    * Looks stylish anywhere.
    * Tough, durable construction - years of use.
    * Meticulous hand-sewing details.
    * Filled with the perfect amount and density of high-loft fill.
    * Custom-made P.L.A.Y.-zipper makes it easy to slip cover off for washing.
    * Eco-friendly fill is manufactured from certified-safe recycled plastic bottles.
    * Made in a facility that meets the strict quality standards for infant and children products.

This particular item is seen in many star trailers on TV sets and locations, and was first tipped to me by an award winning-costume designer who loved the chic graphic designs and the ease of keeping it clean.

Made to last, all of P.L.A.Y.'s pet beds are engineered and tested to make this purchase one you won't regret. You can buy different covers to change up the looks of you decide to redecorate a room too.

What is inside this bed is something called Planet Fill™ - certified-safe, 100% post-consumer recycled products. Planet Fill™ is Chen's own trademarked filler created from cleaned and recycled plastic bottles.

P.L.A.Y. designs are individually sketched and comped, then each top and side graphic is individually produced. A painstaking process compared to the traditional ‘repeating pattern’ pet beds, according to Chen.
