I believe although kids want to be cool they should think first. for example if you get hearing loss and your friends ask you what your doing this weekend and you ask them to repeat that, how cool will you be then.

Quasi-epic fail. Same broken record, slightly different beat. They've been saying this ever since the Walkman was introduced in the early-'80s. Same thing applies. Listening to music at a loud level causes hearing loss. Duh. It's just a different generation (and breed; more technically advanced) who are now suffering hearing loss.
