Renault coming out with RS version of the Twingo

Paris - Renault is launching a high-powered R.S. version of the Twingo for its sports-minded customers which will be powered by a 1.6-litre motor with an output of 133 hp with an average consumption listed at 6.5 litres per 100 kilometres.
Apart from the bigger engine, the Twingo R.S. is fitted with more powerful brakes and a sports chassis. From the exterior the sports version reveals a front skirt with spoiler lip, a rear wing with diffuser and bigger wheel arches at the rear.
Options include a lower Cup chassis and an onboard telemetric system. Customers can also additionally order a design package with dark exterior mirrors, chromed fog lamp frames and 16-inch alloys. In addition a 'Gordini' version in blue can be ordered. The interior also includes a blue trim.
Prices are expected to be announced after the Geneva Motor Show debut in March.
