Wolfsburg, Germany - A four-door version of the VW Up! will arrive at German dealers in March this year with a launch on the entire European market planned by the early summer, the carmaker has announced.
According to VW, about half of all Up! buyers are expected to choose the four-door. It has identical equipment and engines to the rest of the Up family in 44 kW/60 hp and 55 kW/75 hp versions.
The four-door Up! will be available in Germany at prices from 10,325 euros, including ESP (electronic stability programme) which represents an additional price of 475 euros compared to the standard model.
Crisp and short body overhangs are distinctive on the four-door. A City Emergency Braking system is standard, braking the car automatically in tight situations at a speed range between five and 30 km/h. Optional is a portable navigation and infotainment system with touchscreen.
