Detroit - Honda's luxury car division Acura is planning to showcase at the Detroit Motor Show in January a super car, in a possible revival of the NSX, last produced in 2005, according to reports.
A sports car with a spyder roof and an NSX badge was photographed on the film set of the movie The Avengers, currently in production, But Acura said the vehicle was only a one-off production for the movie.
An Acura compact ILX sedan is scheduled to make its debut in Detroit. Based on the Honda Civic, the Acura will, however, come with more powerful engines and the choice of a six-speed manual gearbox.
In addition, Acura will unveil a redesigned version of the RDX crossover SUV, expected to come onto the North American market in 2013.
