Nov 23, 2011, 2:06 GMT
Tokyo - Honda is presenting several new electric vehicles at the Tokyo Motor Show including a concept of an open-top EV Small Sport model which the manufacturer points out is the 'provisional name.'
Sketches of the new sports car reveal design elements of the Civic and CR-Z with a flat windscreen, high shoulder line and massive wheels. Honda is keeping further details secret with a little more information expected at the show next month.
Another model scheduled for display is the Honda AC-X with a Plug-In hybrid system. The four-door offers seating for five passengers and is powered by a 1.6-litre engine linked to an electric motor which together provide an output of 126 hp and a range of 1,000 kilometres.
