Peugeot working on premium model for 2014

Paris - Peugeot is working on plans to produce a premium 608 diesel hybrid for the year 2014 orientated closely to the HXI concept study revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the French magazine AUTO PLUS reports.
The top of the range Shooting Brake station wagon will measure 4.95 metres in length and 1.99 metres in width, significantly larger than the Mercedes R Class, according to the report.
Apart from several diesel engines in the range between 163 and 275 hp, the diesel hybrid would be fitted with a 204 hp engine and 95 hp electric motor.
According to the AUTO PLUS report the top range model will sell for at least 55,000 euros (76,000 dollars).
