London - Former Formula 1 racing car constructor Gordan Murray has designed a prototype electric sports car called the TEEWAVE AR 1.
The two-seater sports car has an output of 47 Kw and 180 Nm linked to a 16 Kwh lithium-ion battery positioned in a mid-rear configuration. The operating range is listed at 186 kilometres with a charging time of six hours. Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h is at 11.4 seconds with a top speed of 147 km/h.
With a weight of only 850 kilogrammes, of which the battery makes up 240 kilogrammes, the body is made mainly from carbon fibre on a monocoque chassis.
Exterior design elements can be detected from the Lotus Elise with a length of 3.97 metres, a width of 1.76 metres and a height of 1.15 metres.
