Jaguar Land Rover to invest millions in more efficient engines

London - The Indian Tata concern has announced that its Jaguar Land Rover division is planning to invest 355 million pounds (409 million euros) in a new engine factory in Britain.
It said the new factory in South Staffordshire in the Midlands would produce a new range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines with lower emissions that will power the future of Jaguar Land Rover.
Jaguar-Land Rover's CEO Ralf Speth said meanwhile that the company is planning to invest some 1.5 billion pounds in new products during the next five years.
Land Rover presented at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show three new concepts including a complete redesign of the legendary Land Rover Defender.
